I know I owe the blog a business feature, and I promise that’s coming soon, but right now I’ve got the holidays on my mind! Holiday shopping is my absolute favorite, especially when I can get score a free gift with purchase or discount when making buys for my loved ones. Luckily for me, Gallery 116, one of my favorite stores in the #NickelPlateDistrict is having a Holiday Open House tomorrow (Thursday, November 10th) night! Continue reading
This week our community celebrated one of the biggest stories to hit in 2015, the addition of the first Indianapolis-are IKEA store, in Fishers! And for an PR professional, it was a pinch yourself kind of moment! I mean, outside of the fact that Fishers has been home for me since I was in diapers, and is my workplace, it’s IKEA, and their ground breaking (as you’d imagine) did not disappoint.
Last November I was able to attend the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) International Conference in Atlanta. Stay tuned because there will be more to come on the 2016 International Conference (in Indy, you can register here!), and because I’m a networking queen I spent at least two hours at the networking fair. With such a versatile skill set, it can be really challenging to determine what characteristics make me different from those around me. Luckily for me, I work for a leader that has challenged me since our first day working together to think about my brand. Your personal brand is as equally important as the brand you manage or advocate for, and today I’m going to share what I hope sets my personal brand apart from those around me. Continue reading
I’m a networking queen. I get excited about learning from people, and I get ecstatic about meeting new professionals. (helloooo extrovert!) So, it should come as no surprise that about a week ago I seized the opportunity to stop by The Speak Easy in Indy and connect with local professionals. The panel included the amazing guests you’ll see below and the discussion centered on the theme of branding. Continue reading
